I'd say to check closely for any physical damage from shipping and handling. Considering what you might buy is all a gamble, I'd put just as much weight on the appearance and condition of the company and people I'm buying from. I was shopping a clip, and when they did the comp. check, they couldn't get the pressure up on two cylinders (albeit a 4 cylinder motor). They were trying to tell me that's normal to have a 20 or so psi difference. I said no thanks.
